Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest. A warm welcome to Hotel-Pension Enzian in Berlin! We are a family-run guesthouse with a history of more than 70 years.
We are not a chain hotel, franchise etc. – we are free & independent and therefore deliberately not bookable via "portals" (or other representatives of the "platform economy"). (Booking platforms claiming we are "fully booked" or have "no rooms available" are trying to redirect you to other hotels because of commissions.)
Information about room availability can be obtained only from us.
In the beautiful, well-maintained, heritage-protected old building – in which we ourselves are commercial tenants – we offer pleasant, modern single, double and multi-bed rooms.
Whether on a business trip, on holiday, visiting your loved ones in the nearby clinic or for any other occasion – you can feel comfortable and safe with us.
You will find us in a quiet & green side street in an excellent location in Steglitz-Lichterfelde West, close to the Botanical Garden (Botanischer Garten) and Schlossstrasse (with the large Schloss shopping centre), and near the B1 federal road, Unter den Eichen, which leads into the heart of Steglitz and connects directly to the city motorways.

A 10-minute walk away is the "Klinikum Steglitz" Benjamin Franklin / the Charité (Fabeckstrasse, Klingsorstrasse, Hindenburgdamm) – see Clinic / Charité. The Free University of Berlin and the Technical University in Dahlem are also nearby (as is the Seminaris CampusHotel in Takustrasse), along with the BAM (Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing), the Federal Archives (Bundesarchiv) in Finckensteinallee, the Secret State Archives of Prussian Cultural Heritage, the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), the German Association for Materials Research and Testing and the Federal Association of the Diakonie in Reichensteiner Weg. Courses, seminars and conferences take place all around the hotel, e.g. at the Dao Yuan school in Dürerstrasse, a 10-minute walk. The Schlossparktheater is ca. 12 minutes on foot. The American Embassy in Clayallee is just a few minutes away by car.
The S-Bahn (S1) – not audible from the hotel! – connects to the regional station "Wannsee" and the regional station "Südkreuz" (only 5 stops!), and you can reach Potsdamer Platz (district Mitte) in 15 minutes. The Brandenburg Gate is thus only about 15–18 minutes away (Unter den Linden). To Hauptbahnhof (central station) the journey takes ca. 25 min. From BER airport you reach us with only one change: FEX or RE to Potsdamer Platz, then the S1 to Botanischer Garten. In short: the S-Bahn takes you to the heart of the city in no time, while you stay in the quiet, green south of Berlin, in the beautiful district of Steglitz (Lichterfelde West). An excellent Spanish restaurant is practically around the corner. Within walking distance you can also enjoy Italian, Greek, Austrian, Thai and Indian food – see Restaurant. A large, modern supermarket in the same building is at your disposal from 7 am to 10 pm (Mon–Sat).
Many of our (regular) guests appreciate above all our personal service. Our hotel is located in a small side street – quiet and of a manageable size, without mass tourism or anonymous mass processing.

Hauptbahnhof ca. 25 minutes (conveniently via Friedrichstrasse). Friedrichstrasse ca. 19 minutes (no change). Südkreuz (ca. 11 min.).
Bus M48, ca. 1 minute on foot, runs to the city centre (Potsdamer Platz etc.). Bus 188, ca. 1 minute on foot.
